How to Fix Duplicate Contacts in Hedlyner

Troubleshooting: Duplicate Contacts

Reduce confusion by keeping a single “source of truth” contact.

Steps

  1. Search the contact name/email and identify duplicates.

  2. Decide which record is the primary (best email, most notes/tags).

  3. Update the primary record with missing details.

  4. Delete the duplicate if you’re sure you won’t need it. (You cannot delete a contact if there are open events associated with it.)

  5. If both records have events associated with them, contact Hedlyner Support to merge.

Best practice: Use the Artist/Performer Name field consistently so search works reliably.
